INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Preparation of the lancing device:
-
Unscrew the cap of the lancing device.
-
Insert a new lancet into the lancet holder.
-
Hold the needle cap and gently twist it away from the lancet.
-
Replace the cap on the lancing device.
Avoid touching the lancet needle.
Depth adjustment:
-
The lancing device cap allows you to select from 5 depth levels. Turn it until the desired setting is reached.
Charging the device:
-
Hold the lid with one hand and, with the other hand, slowly pull the sliding cylinder until you hear a "click" indicating that the device is ready for use.
Collecting the blood sample:
-
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or clean the puncture site with an alcohol swab. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
-
Place the tip of the lancing device against the side of your finger.
-
Press the activation button to perform the puncture.
-
Remove the device and wait a few seconds for a drop of blood to form.
-
Gently squeeze the finger until a round drop forms.
Discard the first drop. If the blood has spread or rubbed off, do not use that sample. Clean the area and obtain a new drop or perform another puncture.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
-
Any component that comes into contact with blood should be considered potentially contaminated.
-
During use, the meter and lancing device may come into contact with blood. Treat them as sharps.
-
Wear gloves if you are testing another person.
STORAGE AND EXPIRY
-
Avoid getting dirt, dust, blood, water, or control solutions into the test strip port.
-
Never immerse the meter in water or any other liquid.
-
Store the meter, test strips, control solution and other accessories in a case in a cool, dry place:
-
Test strips and control solution: between 1°C and 30°C.
-
Meter and other items: between -20°C and 55°C.
Do not refrigerate.
Protect from direct sunlight and heat.
-

Close vials tightly after each use to avoid contamination.
-
When opening a new bottle, note the date of opening and refer to the manufacturer's instructions to determine the discard date.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
Difference between cleaning and disinfecting:
-
Cleaning: removes dirt, but does not eliminate microorganisms.
-
Disinfecting: significantly reduces the risk of disease transmission.
Regular disinfection is recommended, even if the device is for personal use.
Cleaning the meter and lancing device:
-
Clean the exterior with a soft cloth moistened with water and mild detergent.
Do not use alcohol or solvents.
Do not spray or immerse in liquids.
Disinfection
-
Prepare a solution of 1 part household bleach to 9 parts water.
-
Dampen a cloth with the solution and wipe the outside of the meter (strip port down) and lancing device.
-
Keep the surface wet for at least 1 minute.
-
Wipe again with a clean cloth dampened with water and allow to air dry.

Wash your hands after cleaning.
